You know something!? I think when it's all said and done with! I WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR MY ARTWORK!!!! Because the voices of outside people will remember how quality my artwork actually was!! Despite unpopular opinions of the current day, fickle-ass trends, my long-term suffered PTSD and the social networking times of this fickle 21st century that I had seen and witnessed!
Because WHEN YOU STRIP ALL OF THE LAYERS AWAY!!! The art is all I have left! The art is silent, but still can scream and blare out at you for all time!!
I don't do comic books shows, really. Cause in the day and age....there are PROPAGANDIZED TOOLS OF THE RICH!!! They really are too!! These past several years, I don't think the comic book shows are really COMIC BOOK BASED anymore!! JUST THE OPPOSITE, REALLY!! And it's sort or revolting too.
They are media tools of the political regime! Pure pressure events to make the SCAM ARTISTS look good and clean! Even though it's just dirty money anyway! And sadly....THE IDIOTS STILL FALL FOR IT!!! [Thing is, I don't even take myself as a political person!! I AM STILL ANON-VOTER and will gladly do bouts of jury duty over voting in Missouri!!]
That's what I don't do many comic book shows anymore, unless the promoter is cool to me anyway and it willing to support my visions and my artwork! Cause at the end of the day, it refused to be a COMIC BOOK BASED thing in the end....and then it became a “HE WHO IS THE RICHEST AND CAN TRAVEL EASE-FREE TO ANYWHERE GETS A TABLE AT THE EXCLUSIVE EVENT” thing!
Did my opinions CHANGE after awhile since seeing the true horrors behind the veils of SUPERHEROS!? The so-called “Bruce Wayne” mentalities of a scorned existence!? I believe they did after awhile! Cause it became something that I wasn't! The whole art “comics” scene that is! That is to say, that I wasn't a part of the so-called PAYING MACHINE!! This sordid chain-of-command that I was usually a unjustified outsider of, due to lack of deep perceptions! THE RICH AND THE OVERRATED WALLS OF MY LIFE!!!!
COMIC SHOWS are just a tool for the rich and even the “actoral arts” now, and had been for many years now for an “appeal factor”! [That is to say, ACTORS are usually TYPICAL to be getting the FREE TABLES, FREE HOTEL EXPENSES and even ADORING FANS WHO JUST MINDLESSLY FOLLOW THEM FOR OVER-INFLATED PAID AUTOGRAPHS!!!]
And who pays the price for these people to get in FOR FREE!? YOU GUESSED RIGHT if you said THE MINDLESS FANS, THE OVERLY-SLAVED ARTISTS/WRITERS OF US WHO SOIL AND PIONEER TRUE ARTFORMS and even THE VENDORS WHO SELL COMIC BOOKS IN THEIR BOOTHS!!
I don't know, man!? Based on what I have seen, experienced as a ARTIST ALLEY GUEST PROFESSIONAL and just the general SET-UP of it all!! It's just ALL ASS-BACKWARDS SET-UP TO ME, ANYWAY!! I mean, as much money as these rich promoters laundered over the damned years, you'd THINK they could afford some sort of BANNER for a poor-schmuck like me! BUT THEY NEVER DO THAT AT ALL!! I always had to dig deep into outside funding in order to even do comic book shows in the wraiths of 'Murrikkka! And sometimes....IT TOOKS ME YEARS to even get there!!
It's just a “system” geared towards actors in the mainstream and greedy promoters who “cater” to you if you payed for the photo-ops and the overinflated entry fees! It gets worse on the underground artists each and every years! Especially if they are ME!! Whom had mainstream successes anyway! I guess when the systems changed and got altered through the years and decades, it changed ME as well! TERRIBLE SHIT!!
Comic book conventions ARE NOT WHAT YOU THINK THEM TO REALLY BE!! And I know people love them. But to ME....they had often left a bitter taste in my mouth and left me second-guessing about corruptness in the contemporary “systems” of this think called COMICS! If comic book shows are for book authors as well!? THEN WHERE ARE THEY AT!? I rarely saw authors in the 30+ shows I had attended! Which is pretty terrible. CAUSE THEY ARE SCRIBES OF THE WRITTEN FORMS OF LIFE AND FICTION!!
I'd been drawing since I was 3 YEARS OLD!! When there was no whim or whisper for my visual creativity! Since I discovered a box of old-used crayons and a WHILE CINDERBLOCK WINDOW!! I wasn't thinking about comic book shows then! I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE COLORS OF THE ART!! [This was in the 1970s, back when I didn't have any comic books at all! JUST AN ARTISTIC PASSION FOR WANTING THE DESIRE TO DRAW SOMETHING IN LIFE THAT WAS NEEDED!!]
NOWADAYS IN 2015!!! It's just a money-driven thing of the suits! IT TRULY IS!!! The tragedy of modern ages!!
There is no longer any passion for THE TRUE ARTS unless it's some recycled superhero that you see on some convention hall for about 50 TIMES!!! And if there is, it's still few and far between!! Sure the TRUE TALENTS still exist! But at what cost!? Comic book shows are just now a propagandized tool of the cooperate media chains to make these greedy promoters look good! So they can afford more propaganda tools to cater for their own greed! CAUSE THEY CAN FRONT THE MONEY FOR THIS STUFF!! [A modern day extortion of paper money and coins for the evils of the modernized world that surrounds us now!]
Yeah, I think it is rather ass-backwards! AND IT GETS LIKE THAT EVER YEAR!! Just becoming even more ass-backwards then before!! TO ME....I think it's those OVERRATED-OVERPAID ACTORS who should have to pay their own expenses with the comic shows! LIKE THE REVERSE OF WHAT IT IS NOW!! I mean, WHY CALL THEM COMIC BOOK SHOWS AT ALL!? They are just ACTOR'S SHOWS to fill thespian and promoter wallets!/
The artists and writers of TRUE COMIC BOOK ARTS!!! They shouldn't have to pay at all for those overrated expenses that the actors just simply DON'T PAY FOR!! Those are the people who suffer the most!! THE TRUE ARTISTS WHO JUST GET SHOVED ASIDE LIKE I DO!! Yet the so-called “promoters” are still the crooks and blackmailers of the day. Hell they even tax the little guys/girls nowadays for even SHOWING UP AS ARTIST ALLEY GUESTS!! They just give you a form before or after the damned show....And treat the guest LEST THEN GUEST-LIKE!! [I should know, because I was one of “their” guests!]
There are a lot of ass-backward things that go on in the systems of what they call COMIC BOOK SHOWS!! [Yes, I am talking about things like Planet Comicon shows and even certain Wizard World shows that would rather just would rather steal your money then just to be an actual “creative event”!] THE FEEBLE LAMBS STILL SUPPORT THE WOLVES!!! Wash, rinse and then REPEAT! Hell, I detest even being called a “geek” cause for me, it's still INSULTING...That's a derogatory term for the art that I suffered through and studied, as true art is structure and actual freedom! “ARTISTIC OUTSIDER” IS MUCH MORE APPROPRIATE FOR ME!!
Though my life....I'd been through WAY TOO MUCH pain and stress!!! The good and the bad parts of the art worlds! I had to suffer just to even get my art out there in the styles and the interpretations of the way I anted to get it to people! Even in this past month or so, when the awareness of these propagandized tools are at AN ALL TIME HIGH!! [My third eye gets the worst of me, sometimes!!] But I have a third eye for a reason!! SO I DON'T VEER INTO THE WRONG PATHS OF “SELLOUT ARTWORK”!!
“REAL ART TALENTS” GET BRUSHED UNDERNEATH THE RUG FOR THE STICK-FIGURE DRAWING FRAUDS!! More times then not....this is TOTALLY CORRECT!! I should know that!! For I have see it with my own blue eyes!!
If I die someday....I die in this HORRIBLY-FORGOTTEN UNDERPASSED land called Missouri!! Where nobody cares about THE REAL YOU when you actually die! Perhaps the TRUE FOLKLORE OF ME will heighten the awareness of my art-forms to those who gave a damn! The art that I did will ALWAYS BE THERE in some for or another!! SEE, THIS IS WHY I DID MY ART SINCE I WAS 3 YEARS OLD!!! Ever since I dug out a crayon box [or a cigar box] and saw A BLANK WHITE WALL!! I knew then as I know now that I will always be A TRUE ARTIST!! So I hope SOMEDAY....There will be a “GOLDEN TIME” where TRUE ARTS ARE TRULY APPRECIATED!! When somebody out there digs up my art online or some back issue of a comic book somewhere and makes it their own within their own minds! Both good or bad! TO ME, THIS IS THE MOST MEANINGFUL THING PEOPLE CAN DO TO PROGRESS MY VISION OF ART!!
The sacrifice a poor person like me made, to go against the grains of this TRIVIAL SOCIETY and FICKLE TRENDS to do my own art, in my own special way and style! 30 YEARS FROM NOW....BEYOND MY DEATH AND EXISTENCE.....IT WILL BE TOTALLY DIFFERENT!! because they will remember my visions, if this thing called “THE INTERNET” is still in existence! The smart people will seek out those visions, long after my death!! because the net will evolve and progress as it should!
It'll just get better or it'll just be MORE OVERSATURATED WITH MORONIC FOOLS who will not progress the artforms!! Chances are, it'll be both kinds of people in society!
I was a child of a alcoholic factory worker with ONE EYE!! He was limited of sight and mindset and he was a heavy alcoholic at one time! BUT “I” could SEE SO LONG BEYOND MY YEARS AND DECADES!! Of course a person like that would just never get me or what I am all about in this era I live! Why!? BECAUSE HE WAS THE “BLIND” ONE....AND I could TRULY “SEE” THINGS BEYOND MYSELF!!
I saw my mother dead on a floor at 14, when I stepped off of that bus! When you see the tragedy unfold in front of you in that way! IT CHANGES YOU SUBSTANTIALLY!!
The ONLY REAL WOMAN back then in my life who ENCOURAGED ME to see people like STAN LEE!!! BECAUSE SHE SAW THE FUTURES OF ME AT THE TIME!!! [Little did I realize, It was Stan lee who was part of this “evil cooperate machine”. And I'd have more respect for a director by the name of Lloyd Kaufman who was always supportive of my art and my visions!]
The shallow mindset of the the era of 2015 are just sickening to me in the end, but I do what I can with my own art and visions!! THE SHALLOW MINDSETS DON'T GET AN OUTSIDER ARTIST AND A LONG-TERM PTSD SURVIVOR LIKE AS MYSELF!! [Needless to say....my PTSD is REAL and it's not like the depict in dumb Hollywood movies! My PTSD is REOCCURRING, DARK and DOWNTRODDEN!! Some days are good and some are just awful, in terms of the bad memories! But it's the part of my brain and psyche that is always with me!! THE INNER DARKNESS!!]
When I am dead and gone!! I hope my art and my visions will get out to the RIGHT PEOPLE!! The 2 or 3 people who gave a shit about me, man! Folding exponentially into the subconscious and into the rights of true thinkers! The ones who mattered to me internally, out to the eyes who will see my visions well beyond me! THAT'S ALL I WANT!! Money is so hit-and-miss!! IT'S FUCKING PAPER OF THE ILLUMINATI!! Money controls minds!! ART is the thing that I could do when I was poor and downtrodden! IT'S THE ART THAT'LL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!! Beyond me and my corporal human form!! My health waivers and my mind gets into PTSD spells. BUT THE ART IS “CORRECT” OF ME!!
IN 30 YEARS....when I am dead and gone! [Or maybe a few years after my death! OR A FEW DAYS!!] And I have lived and died this torment and pain I call AN TRUE ARTIST'S LIFE!! In a Kansas City area where they stereotyped me for being “crazy” and didn't get my ideas as a TRUE ARTIST!! It may either become LESS saturated with money or it could become a new time when TRUE TALENTS are truly appreciated in comic books and art itself! The whole worlds now could change well beyond me! AND I HOPE FOR THAT DEEP DOWN IN MY SOUL!! It's a bold thing to say....But it'll become one thing or another thing! MAYBE BOTH OR NEITHER!?
HOPEFULLY, I will be reunited with my 18th Century Impressionists clan! [Seems like CLAUDE MONET and CAMILLE PISSARO look after me from the spirit-side! They say VINCENT VAN GOGH is reclusive and working on artwork, even in the spirit worlds! Because in the end, I will become this digital bit like the movie TRON!!! It's just inevitable!!]
Hopefully ONE DAY....JUST SOMEDAY!!! I will FINALLY get my Wikipedia entry among the other true artists and friends that I have known in the current era of the fickle 21st Century! Hell....MY FINGERPRINTS AND “DNA” ARE “ALREADY” ON STUFF in the ART WORLDS! I already know that! I was an influence for quite a few of them!! The ones who both loved and hated me!
People still tell me that at times: “Mickmo, thanks for your influences! I wish I could get the manic ideas like you had! And I learned a lot from you, even through your hard times and difficulties through your life!” I know I had influence even on some of the Radio Comix people of today! Even certain Image Comics people! THEY ALL TOLD ME THIS AT CERTAIN TIMES DURING MY LIFE AND MY SHORT EXITENCE!! I knew that because they were the ones who appreciated my artforms. My art ideas helped inspired THEM in the end!!! And perhaps, even though I am poor....I AM RICH AND WEALTHY IN MY LONG-TERM SIGHT AND VISIONS IN ART!! And that is truth for me! In the end...my visions are “digital bits” for the future to learn from! FACT!!
[I already had a dream about the mainframes of art in a permanent art exhibit right by Turner and them! Showing 6 of my key art pieces during my life! THE KEY ART PIECES THAT I HAD DONE AND SUFFERED OVER IN THE HALLWAYS OF ART HISTORY!]
A LIFE IS NOT “LIVED”, UNLESS YOU TRULY “SUFFER” THROUGH THAT LIFETIME! For I have already suffered through all of it....MUTIPLE TIMES IN MY LIFE!! All of the deaths at my feet, inner-tortured madness, PTSD that took up much of the corridors of my damned life, living day-to-day in a cruel Missouri environment and THE ART ITSELF!! Those visions and the approach were all of my own!
I guess when I am dead and gone! “MY” ART WILL BE LEFT BEHIND!!! And that's why I did it to begin with! THE “ART” THAT IS!! Because it was separate then anything else at the time and place within the nexus of gatherings! And I FULFILLED EVERY VISION, TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITIES at those key moments in my time! Because art can be SO MANY THINGS....And even SO MANY LEVELS AND MOODS!! It can be something different and interpretive to each and every person who comes across my art! It's a philosophy that I will take to the grave with me!
It may happen when I die...but then again, it may happen several weeks or years down the road!! Time and people are funny like that! “GOOD PEOPLE” WILL REMEMBER MY ARTWORK!! No matter how “delayed” certain things are with the “gridlocks” of this true light and life! CAUSE THE DOUBTERS AND HATERS STILL SUCK ANYWAY!! [These are not my people! The ones who harped on me for not even understanding me from afar and a distance!] Those people may not go away either! The art that I did for myself and others, in the end....IT WILL SPEAK FOR ITSELF!!
And this is my blog for the seasons of 2015! IT IS WHAT “IT” IS!! And deep down, I know that that means! Because life is not ALWAYS fun nor pretty! Hell, my life ain't even a damned Hallmark card at all!! It's just a life you breathe and live every single day when you wake up in the contexts and perceptions of this “third eye” that I got!
It ain't always easy living...and it ain't always fun!! BUT IT'S “MY” LIFE!! Sometimes this is just the life you are forced to lead! I do understand that. Through time and tide!! THIS IS “ME”CONNECTED TO FORM AND HEARTBEATS!! Basically, this is all it is!
This is what I want to be remembered for! BEING A TRUE ARTIST!! This is all I can ever ask of myself, blending outward into society!
